Mary Emory
Owner / Master Colorist
Mary began honing her craft as a hair stylist almost 20 years ago. After working in some of the best salons in the country, she was driven to pursue her own vision of the modern luxury salon. Mary is well-educated in many different hair techniques and is a certified Wella Master Colorist.
Mary believes in matching her clients inner spirit to their outer beauty. She enjoys giving masterful, beautifully blended haircuts and getting creative with hair color transformations. When she’s not changing lives behind the chair, she enjoys traveling, getting outside, and spending time with her two children.
Megan Roberts
Master Stylist
Megan has been in the hair industry since 2015 after ditching the idea of becoming a graphic designer. Her career started as an apprentice in Downtown Asheville before branching out on her own to build clientele at a premium chain salon. Megan then came to MaryFrank Salon in 2019 and made it her career home.
Hair cutting is Megan’s primary focus. She enjoys creating a cut that is best suitable to the client’s personal style, maintenance, and hair type. The majority of Megan’s cuts are inspired by the 70’s and 80’s bold layered shags, the 90’s bouncy cascading layers, and modern lived in cuts that require minimal effort for that wake up and go look.
Out of the salon she enjoys spending her time painting with acrylic and gauche, going to the gym, and playing piano for her church.
Amber Huntley
Master Stylist
Amber is an Asheville native and now has over 5 years of experience behind the chair. Amber specializes in dramatic hair transformations as well as blondes and reds. She is also a certified DreamCatchers extension stylist; she offers I-tips, K-tips, Tape-ins as well as Wefts and invisible Wefts.
Amber is constantly extending her education to provide a well rounded approach to anyone who sits in her chair. She provides a thorough consultation to every client, with the goal of finding the perfect style that will compliment their lifestyle while achieving their hair goals. In her free time Amber enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and spending time with her animals.
Liz Tipsword
Stylist
Liz grew up in the Midwest and left for warmer sunny weather; coming to the Carolinas in 2008.
Liz has been working behind the chair for 10 years. She loves creating creamy, blended and wearable color for clients across the age spectrum. Her goal is to have clients leave feeling refreshed, happy and confident with their new and updated style.
She loves creating texture and teaching her clients how to recreate their style at home for everyday wear. Another hair passion Liz has is bridal styling. From the wedding day to the work party at night - creating updos continues to be her inspiration.
When she is not at work she enjoys walking with her dog Mac, hanging with her husband and daughter, and camping in our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
Donese Helms
Stylist
As a North Carolina native, Donese began her career in the beauty industry in 2008. After completing her certification, she continued her education by completing a one year advanced cutting and texturizing course.
Donese enjoys creating livable styles and taking extra steps to ensure guests are able to re-create looks at home. From bold reds to soft natural highlights, Donese brings her clients back to life with an unwavering sense of confidence and invigoration.
Will Butzirus
Receptionist
Will's journey in the salon industry commenced in 2014, marking the beginning of a fulfilling career path. His introduction to this vibrant world started as a receptionist at a beloved family salon nestled in the heart of Florida. In this role, Will embraced the responsibilities of ensuring every guest experienced unparalleled hospitality, supporting stylists in their craft, and maintaining the salon's pristine ambiance.
In his free time, Will has a strong affinity for art. He loves to make pottery, crochet and draw while pulling inspiration from nature and those around him.
